Village Court

The South Floral Park Village Justice Court meets for public session the 3rd Monday of every month at 6:00pm at the Village Hall (please check calendar for exact dates & holiday schedule below). The address is 383 Roquette Avenue, South Floral Park, NY. Office hours are Monday through Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm & may be contacted at 516-352-8047 or
Currently, South Floral Park’s Village Justice is Honorable Paul D. Lawless, the Associate Village Justice is Honorable Rovshan Sharifov. There is a Village Prosecutor as well.
The court handles all summonses issued within the Village by the Nassau County Police Department; the code enforcement officer for traffic, parking, & local ordinance violations; or other officer authorized by the village code. All summonses are issued with a court appearance date where the defendant may enter a plea of guilty or not guilty. Some violations are subject to a fine that may be paid to the village court in order to avoid an appearance. Payments are accepted in person by cash, cashier’s check, money order, or Visa/MasterCard (NEW: Each in-office card transaction is subject to a 2.99% fee paid directly to the credit card merchant). Checks & money orders should be made out to South Floral Park Justice Court & there is a $20 NSF fee for all returned payments. After-hours payments may be dropped into the mail slot any time to be collected on the next business day. Online payments are also accepted through 24 hours a day with a processing fee. Payments not received on or before the return date may be subject to penalties & may result in the issuance of an arrest warrant or registration or driver’s license suspension.

COURT NOTICE: Effective Monday, March 15, 2021, as mandated by the  State of New York, South Floral Park Justice Court will commence with in-person court appearances.  Those individuals who have received a citation and are scheduled to come to Court can call the Court Clerk at 516-352-8047 if they have any questions prior to their scheduled court date.  Thank you.
